STAGING FAQ’S…

I can’t afford a home stager—why should I pay out money for this sort of service, when I need every dime I can get out of the sale of our home?

Actually, if your home really needs a stager, you can’t afford NOT to hire one. In today’s real estate market, buyers need to see the potential of a property before they will even consider making an offer. By staging your home you are making it the ‘best it can be’ so that buyers are more likely to want it. You cannot compare the result you receive for the small amount of money you put out for staging, compared to the overall value you receive on the bottom line. And, it most cases it costs you less than your first ‘price reduction.’ Sometimes, it even comes down to whether or not the buyer will even make an offer. After “Location, location,” it’s all about “Presentation, presentation.”

How much will it cost?

That depends on a lot of things, including how willing and able you are to do the work. We can give you the plan and you can implement it…or, we can do it for you. Naturally, this choice is relative to the final cost of the job. Generally, it can cost between $500 to $3,500, depending on the amount of furnishings, painting, contractors, and services you require to accomplish the project. Larger projects could cost more because of the size and scope. We are happy to give you an estimate with our initial consultation. We will always strive to work within your budget so that you get the most bang for your buck.

If I am not ready to sell, what can a ‘redesign’ do for me?

Sometimes your home décor is good—but you want just a little more. Maybe there is some dramatic aspect that you haven’t been quite able to nail down. We can help. We know how to bring that “Wow” factor into your home without making it too overdone, working with your already good decorating plan. Again, we would be happy to give you an estimate of the cost with our initial consultation.

WHAT IS HOME STAGING?

Home Staging includes everything that is involved in getting a home ready to be put on the market. The professional stager is trained to objectively organize and design the home for a broader buyer appeal.

Staging is highlighting the most positive aspects of your home, while downplaying any possible negatives. We ‘set the stage’ so that when buyers walk into your home, they will immediately see its potential and acquire an emotional connection because of details we have integrated into the design for just this purpose.

Unlike Interior Decorating, which is an art, wherein everyone has their own individual taste; Home Staging is a science which conforms to certain standards. Certified home stagers are specially trained in this specific aspect of design.
